Who We Are
Rafter D Custom Designs was started by Ronnie Derrez in his garage in 2019. What began as a passion project to make a wedding present for his wife quickly graduated from a hobby to a part time business.
More than a year after Ronnie's first knife was made, which is still being used in his kitchen every day, Rafter D is housed in a standalone shop with much more work space and a new professional forge, quite an upgrade from the handmade forge he began with.
Recently, he pieced together a cutting board to compliment the original kitchen knife he made for his wife. Once people saw the board, they immediately began asking if he would be selling those as well. Before long, cutting boards became a part of Rafter D.
He specializes in creating unique everyday carry knives, butcher blocks, and has even dabbled with some hatchets. There is nothing that he will not try, to make what his customers need.
